Our latest article from the Nanomedicine group has been published in Biomaterials Advances!Five research groups joined forces to develop a novel hybrid drug delivery system for nucleic acid therapeutics. By combining genipin-spermine-glycine nanoparticles with biomimetic erythrocyte membrane vesicles, we achieved an efficient and biocompatible carrier for siRNA delivery. Urban Komelj, dijak Gimnazije Vič, je na Odseku za nanostrukturne materiale raziskoval »Membranske vezikle z enkapsulirano siRNK za gensko terapijo in fototermično terapijo raka« pod mentorstvom doc. dr. Nine Kostevšek, za kar je 26.septembra 2025 prejel Krkino priznanje za srednješolske raziskovalne naloge. Somentorica na Gimanziji Vič je bila prof. Helena Potočnik Vičar. Spotlight on EU Collaboration and GREENE: HaDEA Delegation Visits @Jozef Stefan Institute Yesterday, Director @Prof. Leon CIzelj, @Prof. Sašo Šturm, GREENE coordinator @Prof. Kristina Žužek and @Matej Zaplotnik of @Magneti Ljubljana had the honour of welcoming a high-level delegation from the @European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) to the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) in Ljubljana.
